Cloak Enchants

Finally picked up a new cloak, but I'm unsure what to enchant it with. I usually went with Dodge as the agility gives less avoidance and the melee crit is insignificant for Paladins. Ever since this whole "effective health" thing got started, armor has been the direction a lot of tanks are moving.

Generally I prefer the consistency that the armor provides, but at the same time if you dodge just one more swing from a boss because of your enchant, you probably avoided more damage than the 120 armor would have mitigated for the entire fight. I will probably go this route though, but any comments would be appreciated.

Hey there. This is Solen also from Alex, popping in to check the place out. I agree with you though, the +12 dodge is much more versatile than the armor. Armor consistency is fun and all, but having a little bit of extra leeway on your avoidance stats to sub in another piece of armor that strengthens another area significantly is nice too. Maybe its a little more spell damage or a little more stamina or maybe even more + armor on another piece. Either way, much more versatile of an enchant than the armor.

I don't see how the dodge is any better, assuming both enchants provide similar ilvl. You'll still have streaks of un-avoidance, with or without the dodge enchant, and that's when your healers are really pressured to keep you up. Only armor and stam help in those situations.

Not take any damage because of a dodged swing....or take a little less damage on a non-dodged swing? Got to like the idea of not getting hit one extra time. IMO
